Content on this website is published based on the publishing principles outlined on this page.
Purpose of Principles
We strive for transparency on how content on the website is created and only to publish accurate content that visitors can trust. We want visitors to be able to judge the authenticity and credibility of the content, therefore we explain how the content publishing process works for this website.
Types of Content
We apply these principles in a manner appropriate to the content type. Two main categories of content are published on this website:
- Brand content, which is about SUPERVIZION and the companies that with license use this registered trademark.
- Public interest content, which is more general and might be more indirectly related to what we do.
Background Research
We make a reasonable effort to verify source material and statements by individuals prior to publication. We prefer to use primary source material and not secondary source material. The source material is vetted for quality and accuracy with a general audience in mind, not for a specific individual visitor’s needs or requirements.
Expertise
Our associates will only publish content on topics they have a high level of competence about. An associate’s competence has been accumulated over time and is a combination of having an educational background at a high level within the topic, having done scientific research within the topic, and having extensive personal practical experience of the topic.
If a junior associate creates content, it will be verified by and requires approval of a competent senior associate before publication.
Independent
We will primarily create and publish content created by our own team. Our public interest content is independently reviewed by our team and it judges what to publish without influence of outside parties.
Attribution
When our team publishes content, it is attributed to SUPERVIZION. The collective voice of SUPERVIZION matters more than an individual’s public attention. Our organizational culture is to focus on client interest above the interests of individuals in our team. Team members work jointly towards servicing customers to their benefit, rather than elevating themselves individually.
If an article of an external author is published, this content will be marked with a byline indicating this circumstance. Such third-party content is rare.
Confidence and Appraisals
We avoid using hyperbolic language with superlatives not justified. We want to indicate the strength of supporting evidence and likelihoods with wordings such as “appears to be” and “might happen”. When there are significant contested views or uncertainty, we want to reflect this in our published content.
Corrections
The content should be corrected if errors occur or later new material changes how a topic should be treated. This can be done directly by updates to the already published content or with separate corrections. Some content might be useful as zeitgeist and therefore should more rarely be changed.
Automation and Artificial Intelligence
We create content by human effort. Artificial intelligence might be used to assist but not replace humans.
- Humans write the texts and create the content that get published.
- AI systems might be used to support research, transcribe interviews of humans, translate to other languages, analyze data, draft notes used as inputs, and all such instances a human person must remain in control of each process and is responsible for it. If AI systems are supporting these sub-activities, it is only in an assistive manner and all AI output is reviewed, corrected, and reworked by a human. This means that any AI output is only a partial and intermediate input to the end version of content.
- No content should be created by artificial intelligence and published in such way that it gives the impression that it is human created.
- If content is created using artificial intelligence that is published it must first be checked and verified by a human. Such content should be marked as created by artificial intelligence, especially if this circumstance might influence how the website visitor interprets the content.
- Images or videos should not be created by artificial intelligence with the function of reporting real world events and then might be misleading.
- Privacy and safety of individuals, and copyright should be considered if artificial intelligence is used.
Not Advice
The aim is that this website’s content should be reliable and helpful to people, visitors should benefit from the content. We strive for complete accuracy of our published content.
But the website content is not intended as a basis for actions or decisions without seeking professional advice. (In general, before anyone gives advice to you, your specific circumstances need to be analyzed and understood, otherwise the advice might be ineffective or even harmful. Laws and regulations vary by jurisdiction.)
Website Primary and Social Media Secondary
This website is the primary channel for SUPERVIZION to publish content. The social media accounts of SUPERVIZION have a supplementary function for publishing and communication. We primarily communicate directly with our clients and constituents through private channels, rather than through social media.
